Grocery Fun

I love couponing.  I don't know why I get such a thrill out of doing it.  Today I got up early and for some reason the kids wanted to go.  I loved seeing Jacob's eyes as my total came down to $15.  I saved $54 in coupons and with my vic card, my total off the bill was $84.61 (that includes the coupons).

I got 3 deodorants, 1 shampoo, (2) two liters of orange soda, two bags of lays chips, 3 pop tarts, 2 popcorns, 3 taco seasonings, 2 breads, 2 pepperonis, two packages of paper plates, one box of spaghetti, one bag of breakfast bars, one bag of chicken nuggets, two boxes of cereal (trix and cheerios) one box of dove ice cream bars and a box of m&m ice cream sandwiches!!

Other things this week is that Josh got his braces off!!  I love his teeth!  I am so jealous as I needed braces so bad!!  He will thank me one day.  He still has a retainer and will get a top one in two weeks.

Summer Break 2014

We've so enjoyed week two and three of our vacation.  A girl could get used to this!!  I usually wake up in the morning and either take a class (or two) at the gym, run, or go biking with the kids.  We've spent almost every day at the pool.  We love to go.  The kids have fun swimming and I enjoy relaxing or talking to other people I know.  We've done some outlet shopping and yesterday went to the "endless yard sales".  Today Jenna and I went to yard sales around here and had a lot of fun.  Jacob and Jenna also had their annual checkup and Jacob got his 6th grade shots that were needed.  I also went to the doctor and we have two appointments this week, so our week will be busy and less time at the pool.  Jenna will be at a party and the boys are having friends over, so I look forward to a new, adventurous week.  I wish we could keep summer all the time!!!  Thankful for the break and for time with the kids:)

1st week of summer vacation

I love summer vacation!!  Love the freedom, the slower pace, and just everything!!  The kids had a half day of school Friday.  Jacob had a friend over for the day for his b-day celebration (happy 11th b-day Jacob).  We went to the pool Friday night.  Saturday Jack took the boys to play paintball for Jacob's birthday and then we went to a graduation.  Sunday was Golden Coral's company picnic....always fun....a ton of food, bingo, bouncy houses, free snow cones, cotton candy and popcorn.  Monday we headed to the pool, Wednesday we went for a 3 mile bike ride on the greenway, spent the afternoon with friends, and headed back to the pool.  Thursday we sent Joshua off on the youth mission trip helping get a camp ready and today we went for our free donuts at National Donut Day!!  A girl could get used to this.
