Dr. "Pretzel"

Today Jacob has his dentist appointment with "Dr. Pretzel" (as he calls him...he is Dr. Pretzer). I really hate taking him because he is not as good at the dentist as Joshua is, but I guess he will be ok. I wasn't planning on taking Jenna, but now I am, so this should be an adventure. I am hoping to get more of my book read for tomorrows ladie's fellowship book club while I wait for Jacob.

This morning I started getting Jenna's clothes out for her, and she said, "mommy, I want to wear this shirt". She picked out her outfit all the way down to her care bear underwear!! Oh my, she is starting way to early for this!!

Blog Blues

I guess this is one of my "boring" days. Nothing exciting happened today. Preschool was normal. None of my kids have done any thing unusual or funny today. I am going to aerobics tonight and I am looking forward to that. I guess I like doing the "routines" because it reminds me of my cheerleading days.

I called this the "blog blues" because I am a little disappointed that since I had to password protect my blog, not many people are reading this any more. I think my mom is my number one fan, followed by proably one other loyal reader. I have about 18 other people who have permission to read and hopefully get a laugh from time to time, but they are not accepting the invitation. I guess I will keep writing and hopefully start to print these to keep one day to look back on. Maybe some funny and exciting things will happen tonight or tomorrow!!!

Zoo (and more shower pictures too)

My life as a stay at home mom...one word...a zoo! I wouldn't trade it for anything, but you know, sometimes I would like to take my shower before noon, I would like to use the bathroom by myself, and I would like not to be a referee 24 hours a day! But, I do have my proud moments. Jacob and Jenna wrote their names all by themselves and I am so proud. Jacob got a late start, but has caught on quickly. He does know all his letters and sounds and can write a majority of the letters ( we probably have about 10 letters left). Jenna wrote her name today for the first time. I am bubbling over with joy. We still have a long way to go, but she did it...pretty good for a 2 1/2 year old. She just broke my heart. She ran into the bathroom and couldn't get her tights down in time (get used to it girl) and had an accident. She kept crying "I didn't mean to mommy" I told her I knew it was an accident and tights are hard to get down! Bless her heart. This is the first accident in about 4 weeks, so she is still doing great.

Here are some more shower pictures from the weekend. I am just so happy things went so well for Olivia.

Everyone who helped, Monica Bryan (shower coordinator), Brenda Evans, Nancy Eatmon, Olivia Lee, me, Sara Mincy, Michelle Eberhart and Nancy Knight (back row) Savannah Lee in front.

Sarah's great decorating!

Olivia Lee-the mother to be

The shower was very nice. The living room was full of people. It was by far the easiest shower I have ever had, pretty much because I just had to take the spirals out of the freezer!! I am so grateful for my new church friends. I am glad I could have a small part in this. The kids had a good time at grandmas. They wouldn't stop talking about it. More pictures to be posted tomorrow!

A Clean House

I had to take a picture of the clean house before everyone came back home! I can't believe what the house could actually look like! The shower went very nice. I'll post some more pictures soon. Thanks mom and dad for watching the kids for me!! Thank you to everyone who helped me with the shower too!

A Woman on a Mission

I am a woman on a mission. My mission...clean the house! I have gotten a lot accomplished so far, and it's only 8:37 am! So far I have:

1. Got the kids up, and motivated to get dressed
2. Fed the kids breakfast
3. Got Joshua off to school
4. Changed the sheets off my bed and Jenna's bed (the boy's sheets had been done earlier)
5. Took one load of laundry out of the dryer
6. Washed one load of clothes and put them in the dryer!
7. Emailed my "thought for today".

I hope in the next hour to clean the bathrooms, mop the floors, and just do some light pickup work. I know that most of it will be done tomorrow. The kids are going over to my mom's house tomorrow during the shower. I am really excited about doing this, although, I am not really doing anything. The cake, punch, mints are all being taken care of, and I don't even decorate! Someone is doing that too! This is by far the easiest shower! Tonight is taco night/family night. Last week, of course, everything was swept under the rug for me to run to the emergency room. We made it up Saturday night even though I slept through it and Joshua was half sick. Anyway, it's Jacob' s night. He says he wants to watch "Cars" and I am thinking....not again!! Jack has a white board he got from work with markers and erasers. It's big enough for all three to use it, so I have a feeling family night will be spent playing with that (thank goodness...I don't know if I can handle "cars" again!!!)

Pajama Day

We are celebrating Dr. Seuss at school this week and today is PJ Day! I can't beleive I am leaving the house in my PJ's.!! I guess if you are going to work at the preschool, you should get at their level and do things with them ( and some of the teachers don't) At least I won't be shopping after school today (that ought to help the budget, huh?) We are also having Green Eggs and Ham at school, so that ought to be interesting with 3 year olds! Joshua is off to school today. He gets so sluggish at night, but seems to be ok during th day. Hopefully, they won't have to call me this afternoon. I feel so blessed....a friend at the preschool gave Jenna this cute little 3 piece Tommy jean skirt outfit. She isn't wearing the blouse that came with it, as it is a little big, but I thought it was an adorable outfit.
