Princess for the Day

It's hard to see, but it matches our colors
From Jack and the kids
Gifts from Miss Melody and preschool
flowers from preschool
I love feeling like a princess just for one day! It's been a wonderful day so far, even though I had to work. I have gotten phone calls and cards and today at preschool they had a party for me (they do that for all the teachers). I got cupcakes and a candle and beautiful flowers. Miss Melody also gave me a "calming" candle and a note pad. Jack had a cake ordered for me. My mom and dad, sister and brother all got me Kohl's cards, so I was able to get a new picture for the living room and I still have money left!! Tonight, mom is watching the kids and Jack is taking me out to Outback!!! I am so excited!! I can taste the cheese fries now!! I'll post more pictures of my birthday tomorrow. I won't say how old I am. I am getting up there. I was just going to skip today, but it has been so nice!!!! Also, I am the champion of the family on the basketball tournament, even though I picked Ohio! I won by one game!!!

Joshua's Soccer Game

I can't believe how well Joshua is doing in soccer. They had all nine players show up last night and for some reason, they only played 4 players, which drove him nuts. For the first time, he was very upset that he had to take turns and sit on the side. He wanted in that game!!! He did great like last week, only this time, there were two times that he came so very very close in scoring a goal! He is so excited about it, and it is so nice to see that level of excitement for him. He is going to be so disappointed as next week there is no soccer because of spring break. He kept talking last night about how he couldn't wait until next week to play again. This kind of talk never happened last year. Mom and dad are very proud! Please stay tuned....another post coming this afternoon/evening.

Did you ever have one of those mornings?

Did you ever have one of those mornings when you were trying to get out of the house? Seems like we have that a lot with school, but this morning trying to get to choir practice/church seemed really challenging. I guess when I sleep in until 7:30 and have to leave at 8:30 doesn't help much. I am trying to get ready and can't find my eye liner. I guess it suddenly grew two feet and walked away because I still can't find it. Joshua doesn't want to wear his shirt, instead he wants to wear a tie for the first time (thanks, Wes!!). I went in the closet to get that, and everything on that shelf fell. We were almost ready and Jenna spills orange juice all over her shirt. Then, on the way to church, we kept hearing this clicking sound by the door. I looked out and couldn't see anything. We drove on, but the noice continued and then I realized....I had left my keys in the car door. !!! I am so thankful that we found them before something bad happened. Luckily, everything worked out and we made it there in one piece, despite all our spills, and things suddenly walking away. I just wanted to make sure everyone else experiences this from time to time as well!

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids had an Easter Egg hunt at Monica and Bobby's. Thank you, Monica for opening your home to all the church kids. The kids really had a lot of fun. We have enough candy to last till next year! After the egg hunt, Miss Rhonda came over to watch the kids so Jack and I could go shopping and have lunch. Thank you, Miss Rhonda for offering to watch our children so that we could spend some time together. I was really a little bummed that I couldn't find anything I liked!! I need to lose some weight and maybe things would fit! Thank you, Jack for making "date time" such a priority in our marriage!!

Yeah, It's Friday!!!

I have to go to work today. I did manage to get sheets changed on the kids bed yesterday, and I'll do ours this morning, so now I won't be that far behind. I still need to get groceries though. I hate doing that on the weekend. I did have Jack stop last night to get enough for tonight's taco night. It's Jenna's family night. I think she wanted to make smores, play bingo, and rent Happy Feet, so that will be something different. I am hoping Joshua will want to rent Charlotte's Web next week, but we'll see.

Picture Day

Today was picture day at the preschool. They took class pictures and individual pictures. I only had to be in the class picture. The preschool director then wanted to take pictures of those that had siblings in the preschool, so she took Jacob and Jenna's. I didn't know that she was also going to put me in with them for some of them. Anyway, I didn't want to disturb the kids during their pictures, but I was in there for when Jacob and Jenna had theirs together, so I snapped some. Tuesday we had picnic day. I ran out to get a couple shots of Jacob's class. Next week we have Tuesday and then Thursday is our egg hunt and party and then spring break! I can use the week off, even though I have all three kids. I have to go to work tomorrow. I did get a huge blessing today. Anna and Olivia gave Jenna a bag full of clothes. I love the hand me downs! They are mostly shirts, but she also got 3 pair of sandals. She hardly wore them at all. I am so thankful for them! We used to get a lot of stuff from someone at BHBC, but since we don't go there any more, I was a little worried. I still may need to buy her some shorts and some dresses, but maybe I'll just get those for her birthday!
