I've got the fever....saving money....it's so addicting!! I don't have pictures, but let me tell you what I got. I got a free razor coming in the mail....I nice mens one. Next at Walgreens I got one bar of Neutrogena soap free, some Ecotrin Asprin, and two twelve packs of soda. (all free) I also bought two more bars of Neutrogena soap. I spent $6 and got back $12. Not too bad. CVS didn't have deals I wanted for this week.
Next, yard sale finds. I started Friday morning and got a new pink scripture purse plus a pair of pants for Jacob for school. Friday night I went to Lydia's to help her and got so many treasures....some nice books for me and the kids, a Steve Green CD (I love Steve Green), some mini loaf pans, a barbie for Jenna, legos for Jacob, a basketball for Joshua, some place mats and a Dave Ramsey book and cd set unopened (I'm not sure if I'm ready to follow of his methods). This morning we went back out and found a game for Jenna, Lincoln logs for Jacob, a Duke hat for Joshua, some jewelry and jewelry boxes for Jenna, a nerf gun and some big black pipes for our backyard that we were about ready to go to Lowe's for.

Monday mornings are rough, so I thought I would post early again. This week was a FABULOUS money saving week. To start the week off, I got two FREE bottles of Herbal Essence shampoo, a three pack of Dial soap and some Old Spice hair and body wash (not for me of course). Next I saved at the grocery store. Harris Teeter ran their Super Doubles, so of course, I was there. I saved $30 in coupons (this is not counting the savings of using my VIC card). Coupon clipping does pay!! Finally yesterday at the yard sales (we managed to get some in before the rain) the kids got two videos, I bought a game for 25 cents and some great Christian hardback books for 50 cents each. Jack managed to snag a deal on some action figures which are worth some money on Ebay, so hopefully we will make some money. I LOVE saving my family money!! Sorry I didn't take pictures, but I have a lot on my camera from Jacob's party.

I know a lot of people who do not use coupons at all.....and that got me thinking...am I wasting my time on Sundays cutting out coupons? Well, I think after this week I realized I am not wasting time....I'm saving my family money. My first point.....yesterday I went to HT and saved $52.49 on my order. $32.57 of that was coupons I used!!! That's about enough money for us to go out one night as a family. I was quite proud. I went back today and saved $29.25.....again $18.64 was my coupons!! So I saved $51.21 in coupons alone this week not counting the deals for using my vic card. I love it when HT runs triples or super doubles, but I love knowing that in less than one week I have saved $51 just by cutting out coupons out!!******I just went back today for a few items I couldn't get at the other stores and saved another $21.60, which brings my total in coupons alone to $72.81!!!************

This week I got me some hair gel, paper towels and some more dove men care (not gray hair touchup, lol). I also got a 12 pack of diet coke, but I didn't get a picture of that. Not the greatest of weeks, but who can complain for free stuff, plus more money to spend the next time!!

I had a pretty good week after a very slow previous week. (They were out of all the deals I was wanting) I managed to get all of this for free. I got two chap sticks, a bottle of Advil, Rice Krispies, crackers, eye drops, and some men's body wash. I love Walgreens and CVS!!!! I also love the thrill of hunting out the bargains!Posted by Jennifer at 6:33 PM 3 comments

Here are my free items for the week. Harris Teeter ran "super doubles" where they will double your coupon up to $1.98, so I took full advantage of it. The top picture shows rice and WW muffins (which I never buy) that were absolutely free with my double coupons. The bottom picture shows that I got wet ones, and two lysol wipes for free. The light bulbs, Oust and candy bar came from CVS but with my ECB's, they were also free! I also stocked up and got a lot of items for around 25 cents.Posted by Jennifer at 3:29 AM 3 comments
