Average Day

I am getting slack today. No new pictures. Today is just an average day. Nothing bad, nothing special. Preschool went very well today. We have one more week to prepare for our Donuts for Daddy day, but we are way ahead of schedule. I really enjoy my kids. They are all very special to me. I talked to Joy today at schoool. She has a three year old at preschool, and a girl that went to preschool last year with Joshua. Joshua and Anna are the only two that ended up at Polenta Elementary so they kinda stay together at times. Anyway, I think we will go get ice cream after we pick up the kids today. We go to Dairy Queen together once and awhile. Thankfully, I have free coupons from Tiffany so I won't have to pay anything, unless I want something. I am looking forward to tomorrow night with our taco night and family fun night. It's Jacob's turn so I am not sure what we will end up doing.

My Valentine

Here is one of my 4 valentines. I got this sweater last year half price at Target. Yesterday at preschool, Jenna's assistant teacher, Miss Kim, gave Jenna this new Barbie bike! She said her daughter only played with it a couple of times, and her daughter refused to take it outside, so it looks brand new. I am so excited! The Lord really takes care of us, and I am amazed how he uses other people to do so. I know it wasn't a "need" but I am still thrilled. Hopefully this weekend she can take it outside and play with it.

I think I will run to Kohl's and Target this morning. I need some misc stuff at Target and I heard Kohl's was having some good sales. I won't stay long as I need to catch up again around the house and also work with Jacob and Jenna a little and play with them too.

Terrific Tuesday

I really don't know what Tuesday will be like, but I am going to be positive. I do know it will be busy, so this may be my only time to post. I have to take Joshua to school, work at preschool and then I have a staff meeting/lunch after that, which usually runs till after 2, so then I will head straight over to get Joshua. I will get nothing done today, but I guess that is what Wednesdays are for!!

We had a great time with Al and Jennifer last night. They fixed a fabulous dinner! Thanks guys! It was so nice not to have to worry about what to have for dinner, and it was nice not to have to cook. The kids had a blast playing and Joshua did not want to leave. I hope he will be ok for school this morning!!! It has been really hard leaving our old church and friends, so I am grateful for all the new friends we are making.

Magnificent Monday

Sorry guys...no pictures today. It's been a pretty good day considering it's a Monday. I actually got up at 4:15 and got to the gym at 4:30. I worked out for an hour and then stayed up. I am really tired now, but it's amazing what you can get done when you wake up early. I actually got a shower in this morning before the kids woke up. I also got my Bible reading done and laundry started! Wow! I really should make this a routine, but I hate falling asleep on Jack at 8:30. Now I see how the virtuous woman did everything....she got up at 4:00 am!! I know it will get harder as the mornings will get colder. I really hate warming the car up at 4:30 in the morning!!!

The kids and I ran to pick up our unsold consignment items. I actually did pretty well. I had one toy, one pair of shoes and about 12 pieces of clothing left. I know I didn't have many toys, but I had a lot of videos that I sold. I still hope to make at least $100. Then the kids and I ran to the mall. I was proud of myself for taking the younger kids to the mall with me all by myself. We ran into the Disney store and got Joshua some pajamas for his birthday.

Day of Rest

Today is a slow down day, which is much needed. I did get a chance to get to the gym between church services which is great. It felt good to get back and also to have some alone time. I hope to get back into the routine of going more than twice a week, but that means I have to start getting up at 4:30 again (ugh). I am really going to try hard to start. I hope to get to go to aerobics again this Tuesday night too. Jacob and Jenna are having a much needed LONG nap! Josh is playing and learning his verses for Kids4Truth. He is doing so good. I can't believe he will be 6 in a couple of weeks! Jacob was just a little man today in church. He still has a little to learn, but is doing great for a 3 year olds. Little Jenna gets left in nursery, but at least now she has a little friend, Ashley her age. No pictures today...I am officially taking the day off from that! The rat race begins again tomorrow morning!

Facing the Giants

We enjoyed family night last night. We ate tacos, played alphabet bingo, had ice cream and then watched Ice Age 2. It was a lot of fun. This morning Jack went to the church meeting and Jennifer and Sam came over for breakfast. It was fun talking and spending time with Jennifer.

Today, Jack and I got some much needed time away for awhile. Thanks, mom for watching the kids! I know they can be a handful. I am grateful for the time we had together, and for a mate that wants to spend quality time with me. We went to a few stores, to Chilis's and then went to see the movie "Facing the Giants". I HIGLY recommend this movie to everyone. It is about a man who totally gave God every part of his life and then watched God do the impossible. It was just a wonderful movie. I can't wait to rent it when it comes out on the 31st of this month. God really taught me a few things for the movie.

1. In everything I do, no matter how small the task, God wants me to do my very best.

2. In everything I do, everything must be done for God's glory.

3. This story was told....two farmers desperately needed rain. They both prayed for rain, however, one farmer went out and prepared his fields for rain. Only one farmer got the rain....which farmer do you think got the rain....I have to believe God is in control and God can answer the prayer, but I also need the faith to believe and act that God is going to answer that prayer.

4. Lastly, God Can do what seems impossible, and he can use the smallest vessel to face the any giant and to glorify His name.

Matthew 19:26....But with God all things are possible!

Friday Family Night

Tonight is our family fun night. Of course every Friday night is taco night, but we are making it more fun! Tonight is Joshua's turn to decide what we are going to do as a family. He told me this morning he wanted to play "Guess Who" (a new game from Christmas) and Bingo and then watch Ice Age (another Christmas gift). Next week, Jacob gets to decide, but I am sure he will want to watch "Cars".

I got to go to the consignment sale last night. As always, I was overwhelmed with all the stuff. I didn't buy any toys because we just don't need them and I have stuff still in boxes stashed away from Christmas!! I did buy some clothes for the kids and a video for my parents. Jennifer found me a Carolina Panther jersey for Joshua. Thanks, Jennifer!! I'll save that for Joshua's birthday later in the month.
I didn't have any pictures from today, but I am showing a kids family picture from Christmas. This was our "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake!
