Happy Birthday, Jenna!!!

Someone in the house is having a birthday!!!! Someone in the house is 4 years old today!!! Happy Birthday, Jenna!! I can't believe my baby is 4 years old today!! You have grown up so fast! It seems like just yesterday you were in my arms, and now you are 4! I remember finding out that I was going to have a baby, and I remember how your daddy told me from day one that you were the little girl that I always wanted! We love you so much! You are such a joy to us and add so much to our family! Happy Birthday Princess!!!

Super Savings Saturday and Family Fun Night

I am posting this a few minutes before Saturday morning. First of all, about my super savings Saturday....I didn't get anything this week. CVS didn't have anything I needed or wanted, so I guess my savings is not spending!!! I did go to yard sale today and got Jacob two nice shirts (one is a Tommy) for really cheap!!! I just love good deals!

The reason I am posting so late and making this my Saturday post is because we just got home. Our family fun night included going to the Durham Bulls season opener. Jack's company got tickets again. I drove to his work, picked him up, and then I stopped by Duke Hospital since we were right there to see a friend. We were still there in plenty of time. The meal was catered to us...hot dogs, mac and cheese, hamburgers, fried chicken, more sides, and the best part, Goodberry's ice cream (yum yum). We get our own party deck, so you can move around a lot, which is great for the kids. After that they had fireworks and it was super nice. It made for a long night. I am tired, but I have a full plate this weekend. First of all, tomorrow is Jenna's birthday party. She invited friends from school. Then, we have another b-day party to go to and then Sunday is lunch at church and Jenna's "real" birthday! Whew! Can we slow down a little????

A Little Jealous?

Joshua got in the car yesterday from carpool line. "What's wrong Joshua"?
"Mom" do you know what Anna said?"
"No, honey, what did Anna say?"
"I just can't believe it". "She said that she wanted to marry Austin Martin!"
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, mom! Why would anyone ever want to marry Austin?" yuck!!

Anna is a girl we have known for 3 years now. Her mom and I are friends. We often go to Dairy Queen after school to get ice cream. I have a feeling that Joshua is a little jealous! Thankfully, all was forgotten tonight because of his soccer game! Whew! Thank goodness! These are pictures from his first game! He LOVES soccer!!!

First Soccer Game

Jacob and Jenna had their first game last night. Jenna did really good. She holds her own, especially since she shouldn't even be playing in this group. She isn't even 4 yet and is playing with 4's and 5's. Jacob is the one that surprised me. He was right there at the goal when two of them were scored. Joshua, however gets the award for being funny. (he plays Thursday). We were talking in the van on the way home. "Joshua, aren't you proud of your brother for almost scoring a goal?" Joshua said "Yeah, he did pretty good for just being a little kid". (and you are SO much older than Jacob, aren't you Josh!!!!)

GROW, Grass Man!!!

Jacob made this "grass man" in preschool. We took dirt, grass seed, and wrapped it up in panty hose and tied it at the bottom. I think it is cute, but his patience level is killing me. Every day he goes in the kitchen to look at g man and ask me when he will grow hair. Yesterday, I was able to show him one itty bitty hair sticking up! If you look close, you can see it! FINALLY!!!

Jacob

Jacob had a cowboy theme the other day at preschool. I thought he looked so cute in his outfit. We have the day off of school today. Teacher workday, or so they say. I don't know why they put vacation days so close together. Now we go until the end of May without anything!!! Speaking of Jacob....we are having a problem with him being "silly". He starts getting the giggles and won't stop, even when we are talking serious with him. He just doesn't know when to stop. Last night, I had gotten on him in the car a couple of times and I turned around in my frustration and said "Jacob, how many more times do I have to get on you about this...how many more times does mommy have to spank you before you understand?" Jacob said "I don't know....A LOT". No wonder he gets the giggles. I had to turn around and smirk myself!!

Super Savings Saturday

This is what I got for the week. The three soaps from Bath and Body Shop were free. I had a $10 off any purchase (it must have been birthday related) and I didn't even have to pay tax. I got three bottles of CVS brand tylenol and another Johnson's Buddy Bar. I think I have a new hobby now!
