Jenna's class went strawberry picking today. It was a lot of fun. It was the perfect day to go. The kids enjoyed eating them. I think this time they did pick more than they ate. Jacob's class will go Monday, so we will be going there again. It is the teacher's favorite field trip of the year! They also have baby goats to look at, and the kids learn about bees and honey, and they get to feed the catfish.

How cool! Do they kids get to keep their berries? Which berry farm is it?
Yes, I have two buckets right now...want some? It's Smiths' Nursery off Sanders Road.
You know you can freeze them - just take off their stems and put them in a freezer bag/container. Some people was them;others say they loose their freshness if you wash them before freezing...
Jacob and Jenna are so cute with their buckets of berries. That will be fun that they can go Monday too. Strawberries are my favorite fruit! My grandmother had a huge strawberry patch and sold berries to customers and your Aunt Pat and I as young girls picked berries day after day. It was a lot of work, but Pat and I had loads of fun being together too. We probably were just freshmen or sophmore's in high schol. Have fun again on Monday Jacob! (you too Jenna, as you can go along too.)
