Formals and Birthdays

May has been and continues to be a very busy month for us!  Friday was the youth formal.  Josh didn't mind this too much this time but he didn't like all the pictures!!  Here are some of the pictures of his besties (and they are not girlfriends:) ). Jacob's birthday is Friday so we surprised him today.  We had three friends from church over.  This group of boys are pretty tight.  Three of them are moving up to youth group this summer.  Jack took Jacob to McDonalds for breakfast and the boys came over while he was gone.  He didn't know what to do when he opened his door to find his friends sitting there.  I guess we pulled it off since we did this 4 days before his party. We took the boys to Defy Gravity and wore them out.  We then took them to Ci-Ci's for lunch.  I am glad this is a buffet because these boys can really eat!!  I was shocked!!

Girls Weekend

The boys went camping over the weekend so Jenna and I had girls weekend.  I treasure this time with her because we don't get these opportunities often.  Friday night we went back to You Define Art to do some more painting (we had so much fun at her bday party).  We invited some friends to come along to enjoy the evening.  Saturday morning we went to yard sales and then went to the outlets.  We ran to a graduation and then went and got pedicures!!  Ahhh!!  We picked up some dinner and came home to watch a movie.  Sunday she had Olivia over to play and I relaxed.  So thankful for the girl time, but thankful to have my guys back too!!

back again

It's been awhile since I had the chance to post.  I haven't really taken any pictures so that is why I have not posted much.  May seems to be very busy.  The kids are busy finishing up school.  Next Friday starts final exams.  After today we have 11 days left!!  The end is in sight....but it will be a bumpy ride the next few days.  We took an unexpected family trip for the weekend last weekend.  It was a nice get away (inexpensive) and much needed after some stress we have had in the family.  We are getting ready for a nice weekend get away to Carowinds/Great Wolf Lodge once the kids get out of school.  Jenna has another field trip and just had her last elementary school program last night.  The boys are going camping this weekend and we are getting ready for a girls weekend.  We don't get these very often, but I am so grateful when we do.  I promise to post more after our weekend and other activities that are coming soon.
