trying to decide

So I am trying to decide.....leave my microwave on this shelf and give me more counter space or do I put the microwave where I just put it and make this my plate/ceramic display? (although I really need more plates and stuff)

Final Makeovers

We finally finished the boys room.  I still want to find some sort of rug, but other than that it is done!!  We had laminate floors put in their room to replace the nasty carpet.  We also bought this shelf with baskets.....a nice place for them to put their "treasures" and still keep things neat.  Next....Jenna's room.  We also had laminates put in her room.  We found the bed on Craig's List and got a really good deal.  The next weekend we saw the same exact bed in a furniture store for more than double what we paid for hers!!!  We also found a rug at Target to put in front of her bed.  The only thing left is to paint her room.  She wants a lime green color....the same color as the polka dots and the color of her rug.  I'm taking a break from projects right now, but maybe in a few weeks I'll be ready to conqueror that project!!

Colonial/Constitution Day

The middle school had Colonial/Constitution Day on Monday.  Josh has to dress up.  I cheated....found a costume on line and bought it.  I'm not handy enough to make one of my own.  He also had to do a report on Daniel Carroll from Maryland who worked a lot with George Washington.  (they were each assigned a special person to report on)

Gi Gi's

The danger of reading other people's blogs is that you try something they mentioned and you get hooked!!  Last Saturday Josh had football practice followed by a pizza/pool party.  Jenna and I didn't want to go to the pool and hang out with all the boys and men (none of the mom's ended up going) so we dropped Josh off and had girl time......guess what was about 6 miles away....Gi Gi's in Cary!  Jenna got a cupcake and I tried one of their new cheesecakes.  We were feeling so nice that we brought some home for dessert.  A couple of them got knocked down, but they still tasted good.  I really liked the strawberry one.  The banana one was really good too.  I didn't get to try Jacob's cookie dough or Joshua's cinnamon roll, but that's ok.....I had plenty of calories for the day:) (and week too)

bathroom re-do

I was sick of the cheap white floors the builder put down.  I'm convinced our builder took many shortcuts to this house.  We did our kitchen and our bathroom over a year ago, but now I wanted the last of the cheap white floors gone.  I love this kind of floor in that it was under $30 to do.  Unfortunately, this was one of the projects I started, messed up, got in too deep and had to have Jack rescue me, which is not what he wanted to spend his time on.  Thank you honey for helping.  I'm glad the white floors are gone.

trying again

so I'm still looking for ideas for my new computer corner and my kitchen.  I did move the microwave cart out of the kitchen and I'm getting rid of it.  I moved my dad's cabinet over by the door.  I'm not sure if I want to leave the microwave on top or if I want to move it to my countertop.
