January Update

Things are still busy at the McLean house.  Basketball season is in full force, but also winding down.  I'm not sure what I will do with myself once it is over.  Although it is extremely busy, I do love the time away with adult conversation.  It gets hard staying here all day with no interaction or anyone to talk to all day.  We have a tough game tomorrow and we have to play the same time yet again in a couple of weeks, but right now we are 6-1 in conference play.


Jenna's team is a sweet group of girls that just really seem to get along.  They don't find the net a lot, but they have a lot of fun.  She has grown a lot since last year.


I am thinking about quitting two of the kids the end of March or April.  I know that we need the money for an upcoming mission trip, but I am just not happy.  I am so tired at the end of the day.  I hate waking up in the morning knowing that it is M/W/or Th!!  The dad scares me/rubs me the wrong way.  Thankfully our conversation is really brief in the morning.  Please pray for me as I will be looking for some part time work in the summer or the fall.  Please pray that something will open up for me.  My skills are very lacking.  I am not up much on the computer programs....Word, Excel etc.....I can manage around, but nothing in depth.  I also haven't worked in 16 years!!  My resume obviously has a big gap!!  I believe God will show me something.

Happy New Year

Hard to believe that 2017 is upon us.  I have really enjoyed the two week break and will embrace the last day I have off tomorrow.  We had some nice family time together.  On Thursday, Jenna and I were able to go to a NC State Women's basketball game with her team.  It was really fun to go out as a team and eat dinner and then watch them play.  Between Josh and Jenna, we have 5 games in 4 days......busy busy!!
