New York, Part 1

Our flight left at 6:15 am Thursday morning. We were at our hotel before 9 am. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Times Square both nights (first night we paid for, the second was paid for by credit card points). I have to say this was the best place I have stayed away from home. The king size bed and pillow was heavenly.

We headed straight to Times Square and looked around and then headed down to 5th Ave. We visited FAO Swartz, Disney, American Girl, and other stores as well as St. Patrick's Cathedral.
The Star Wars was made from legos and the soldier was made of jelly beans.

Next we went to Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock to see a great view of the city. We checked back to our room, rested for about 10 minutes and then went to look for Ground Zero. We ended up looking for a LONG time because we got the wrong directions!!! After having no more energy to walk any more, we headed back and found out information about tour buses. I would highly recommend this. We bought tickets, ate dinner and had a fabulous 2 hour ride around New York City and Brooklyn. The tickets were also good for Friday and Saturday, so I'll post about that later.

NY looks so interesting. Praise the Lord that your air miles were provided by friend/family member, and then the beautiful hotel with reward points! God is good to His children! So happy for you that you got to go and enjoy seeing so much while there. So thankful too for your blog as years to come, you will enjoy all these precious moments and memories.
