The First 45 days.......

It's that time.....report cards. I am very proud and excited. Two of my kids made straight A's (Pastor's list) and one got A honor roll. I must admit it was hard to feel good about two of them when Joshua tried so hard and missed it by one grade. How do you congratulate Jake and Jenna when he just missed it? I feel so bad, but A honor roll is quite incredible. Here is the breakdown:

Joshua:
Bible A+
Math A
English B
Reading A
Spelling A+
Spanish A

Jacob:
Bible, Math, English, Phonics, Reading, Spelling and Science A's.

Jenna:
Bible, Math, History A. Phonics and Spelling A+, Reading A-

Just congratulate them all equally. If he did his best, then that's all you can ask. Hope he's not too disappointed.

Agree with Monica. In our family, we don't care about grades- just that they tried their best. And REALLY- as parents, don't we know when they are REALLY trying? If you know that Josh did his absolute best for that B then he deserves a big congrats. There are so many folks who are TERRIBLE in grammar, reading comp, etc. He did a GREAT job to get a B!
