Josh's class has been studying Pharaoh, the plagues, and the children of Israel. Today they had a "brick making" activity where they had to gather straw and mud and make bricks just like they did back then. They first "crushed" the material down with their feet (reminded me of I Love Lucy and the grapes) and then they took their shoe boxes and filled them with the material to make bricks. They will sit out in the sun for awhile and then the bricks should be ready. It was a very messy project, but it was fun and I think it really showed them what it must be like for them to do this.
