Our Family Fun Night

The kids were disappointed because I told them last night was my turn to decide what we were doing for family night. They didn't stay disappointed for too long. First of all, we broke the first "tradition" and had Papa Johns instead of tacos (ok, now I really have their attention). After we ate our dinner, we drove about 20-25 minutes to Meadows to see the lights. Boy, were they ever surprised. The excitement grew as they realized that we were taking a "train" ride around to see the lights. It costs $2 per person to ride. Jake could hardly stand it!!! He was so excited. (it costs nothing to see the lights, but if you want to ride to get a better view it is $2). Then, we went to see Santa Claus. Jacob was not afraid this time. Jenna still was, but Jack went and sat beside her and she even talked to him! Next, we went to the country store, which is nothing but a great big candy store!! They have some very hard to find candy. I love this place because not only do they have the lights, but they have a manger scene, the teaching of Jesus scene, the last supper, Jesus on the cross and the tomb! So, my kids realized last night that when mommy picks family night, it's going to be fun!!!!

We have a place like that where we live and my kids loved it too. The train part sounds great.
