An Unusual Easter

This had to be an unusual Easter. Maybe because it was because it came so early this year. First of all, I didn't do any baskets. The kids got no gifts. Jenna didn't get a new Easter dress and the boys didn't get anything new. They all just wore what was in their closets. It was the first year we didn't do anything!! We came home and ate frozen pizza. We usually eat something quick on Sunday's, but today, frozen pizza just didn't seem right!! We didn't have church tonight so we went to my parents church. Things got better at then end when we got a milkshake after church. I hope things will be more "normal" next year.

Yes, it was an unusual Easter this year, but such a wonderful one too. Mark was unable to come, Tiffany was away, Christy and Philip and Caleb were going to her parents etc. etc., but next year we will pick up where we left off! And we all have the precious memories of all the years in Illinois and the annual family get together at Shirley and Charles. We have many pictures of these and fun to hear you kids talk about those years and the good times, so next year, we will pick it up again, but....the day ended wonderful with our annual Cantata in the evening and glad you, Jack, Joshua, Jacob and Jenna could come and friends were so glad to see you and the grandchildren! Then we topped the evening off at Steak and Shake and enjoyed one another! The cantata called "Bread of Life" was wonderful and then the Lord's Supper afterwards. So touching! God gives us what He wants for us at all times, so this Easter had a wonderful meaning and time at that!!
